If you've registered , or are planning to register for the fall 2024 tackle football season, please add the dates below to your calendar:
- March 1st: Fall 2024 Tackle Football Registration opens
- March 23rd and April 6th: Helmet recertification drop-off will happen on Saturday, March 23rd (10am-12pm) and Saturday, April 6th (10am-12pm). Address for drop-off is 155 Grafton Ln. Cost for helmet reconditioning is $75 and can be paid in cash or check (made out to DSYSA). Any helmets dropped off should have tape with player name and phone number. Please note that any black helmets MUST be reconditioned so they can be made white, even if they are certified for 2023 or 2024.
- May 2nd: Equipment (helmet & shoulder pad) fitting sessions will be held Thursday, May 2nd at Sawyer Ranch Pool Pavilion, 6-8PM. A Riddell rep will be in attendance to take orders from any families wishing to purchase equipment direct. An email will be sent out to families when a date has been confirmed.
- May 8th: Parent information night at 6:30PM at Rooster Springs Elementary School
- May 12th: Fall 2024 Tackle Football Registration Ends
- June 4th: Uniform fittings will happen June 4th at the Vistas of Sawyer Ranch Pool Pavilion - 245 Tom Sawyer Rd, Dripping Springs, TX 78620. Registered players MUST attend to ensure proper sizing of uniforms for the fall season.
- August 1st: practice/conditioning begins (10 conditioning hours are required). Practices may be up to 10 hours per week until Labor Day and then a maximum of 6 hours per week. Days/Times/Locations of practices are determined by Head Coaches but will most likely be after 5pm on weekdays.
- August 17th: Certification date (ALL players must be available for certification. This is a formal weigh in for tackle players and book certification for teams.)
- August 24th: Jamboree-Roundup Scrimmage
- August 31st: 9-week season begins (*Number of games will be determined by how many teams participate in each division. All teams have the potential to advance to regional or national championships.) Games will likely be on Saturdays throughout the season, including Labor Day weekend.
