Get Involved!
Pop Warner is more than sports for kids. It's also the dedicated volunteers- the coaches, field administrators, Board of Directors, committee members - and the generous contributors and sponsors who make it all possible.
DSYSA is a completely volunteer-run organization that relies heavily on the support of our parents, whether it is as a coach (head coach or assistant coach), being a team parent, or volunteering through participation during the games.
If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, please contact us and provide your name, phone number, and desired interest. We are always looking for volunteers and can’t do it without your help!
Become a Coach!
Per Pop Warner regulations, all head and assistant football coaches must complete the USA Football Coach Certification Course annually. Similarly, all head and assistant cheer coaching staff must complete the Youth Cheer and Dance Alliance (YCADA) Y101PW training course. In addition to the required training, all coaches must agree to a background check. Experience and knowledge of the sport is vital to ensure our players and cheerleaders are given proper instruction, so they may participate safely and develop the skills necessary to grow in the sport.
Become a Team Parent
This position is critical to the success of each team's season. This person communicates information from the coaches and league on to the parents. They are also in charge of putting together the team book, which provides all the required paperwork for each player on the team (a Pop Warner requirement). Training will be provided by Hill Country Pop Warner. Team Parents must agree to a background check.
Help Out on Game Day!
Home games require volunteers to manage the down markers, work the chains, run the play clock, and cover concessions/merchandise; both home and away games require a volunteer from each team to track the number of plays completed by each player. Every family is required to volunteer at minimum 2 games.
Join the Community Outreach Committee
This committee will plan and coordinate for Founder's Day, Military/First Responder Appreciation Night, youth volunteer activities, and other public events. Here, we focus on community involvement and positive interaction with other Dripping Springs organizations. Donating your time here will help ensure our success for years to come!
